From September 15 to October 15, we celebrate the many contributions that Americans of Spanish and Latin American descent (from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America) have made to the United States.These particular mid-month dates were chosen to coincide with the anniversary of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua from Spain.
