Nkoda User Guide: Home

Find directions here on how to use nkoda, a sheet music subscription service. It can be accessed via app on your phone, tablet, or desktop.

Download

Select a link to download nkoda on your preferred device:

Log in with Google

After you download the app, you'll be asked to select a way to sign in.

You should select Google option to sign in using your @berklee.edu email. You will not be able to login using any other option.

Google is circled in green on the nkoda login screen

After you sign in, you'll be prompted to create an account. You need to use your @berklee.edu email to make sure they know you are part of our subscription.

How to check you're logged in

When you are logged into your account using the Google sign in option, you will see a pop-up asking if you want to continue as a member of Berklee:

Once you are in the app you will see a green banner that says you have access through Berklee College of Music. If you do not see the banner then you won't be able to access the sheet music and it may prompt you to pay. You do not have to pay to use our subscription.

Troubleshooting

  • If you are having trouble logging in, make sure you are using the Google option to login. The other options will not work to access our nkoda account.
  • Unfortunately, due to rights issues you cannot print or save PDFs of the sheet music. It is only available for use in the app.
  • We have a limited number of simultaneous users. If you receive a message that "seats are full" this means you'll have to try again later. If you encounter this message multiple times, feel free to let us know (askalibrarian@berklee.edu) as ideally we want everyone to have access at some point.
