Absentee Voting Requirements

Absentee voting requirements vary widely by state. Common requirements are notarization, witness signatures, and photocopies of IDs or other documents. Look up your state for detailed information, and check the lists below for a quick overview.

  • Alaska (EITHER notarization OR two witness signatures)
  • Minnesota (EITHER notarization OR signature of another MN voter)

  • North Carolina (EITHER notarization OR two witness signatures)

  • South Dakota (EITHER notarization OR copy of ID)
